Laying a brick wall

From Humble Beginnings - In the year 1965 Kenny Sims decided to open his own stone business. Back before the company had a shop location they ran Custom Stone out of their very own home. Though the company's name may have changed over the years the heart and soul put into the work never has. With the help of his two sons; Kevin and Steve Sims, they worked countless hours building Custom Stone Company. From starting with one Ford dump truck to owning one of the largest stone fabrication shops in Virginia the Sims Family has always put the quality of their work first.

Taking Roots - It was a long road of hard work and determination before Kenny & his wife Joan selected the perfect property to build the shop location. Custom Stone Company set roots on Quality Ct. back in 1999. We were one of the first businesses off London Bridge Road; mostly surrounded by farmland. The company began to add other aspects such as our stone-yard, custom fabrication shop, & showroom. It was the shop the family had dreamed of for years. With the newly built shop, a new leader emerged. Taking over his father's company, Steve Sims took Custom stone to the next level. Steve's long hours and hard work have been nothing short of success. Now with children of his own following in his footsteps the company will have another generation that will continue to grow and serve our customers.

Hooked Monster Truck

Racing Is In The Blood- As many fans may know; Steve Sims and his son Steven Sims, aside from working together at Custom Stone, drive Monster trucks! Steve Sims the creator/driver of Stone Crusher a first began racing monster trucks back in 2005.  Steve created the monster truck Stone Crusher as an homage to his passion for the family business using the caveman as his focal point on the truck, which ties in the caveman once used in the logo for Custom Stone Co. As a lifetime hobby, Steve went on to build, drive, and create many other monster trucks. In the year 2012 Steve's son, Steven, revealed his truck Hooked as only a senior in high school at the annual Monsters On The Beach. The two continue to work together both in the business of monster trucks and in their family business Custom Stone Company, Inc. These two have traveled the world together and performed in front of millions of Monster Jam fans. As the Legacy continues, Steve also has another son Trevor and daughter Charis who look to follow in the same footsteps!
